  • 1. Rice Kheer

    It is a very common sweets dish prepared in most of the Indian households. It is made of rice, milk, sugar and flavoured with raisins, cardamom, saffron, pista, cashew nuts or almonds.

    It is a sweet dessert made of wheat flour. The wheat flour batter is deep fried in circular shapes and soaked in sugar syrup. It is served hot as well as cold. For color, often saffron is used.

  • 3. Gulab Jamun

    There is hardly any Indian who is not fond of Gulab Jamun. On any Indian occasion, Gulab Jamun is always served. It is made of khoya that is rolled into small balls with fine flour dust and then deep fried. After they turn dark brown, they are soaked in sugar syrup which is flavored with rose water, saffron and cardamom seeds.

    If your dear brother is fond of laddu you can delight them by serving delicious laddus on Rakhi. Besan, sugar, ghee, wheat semolina (rava) and grounded coconut are used in making laddus.     This sweet is quite popular in the Indian states of West Bengal and Orissa. Moreover, the sweet is originated from Indian state of Orissa. Rasgullas are actually chenna balls soaked in sugar syrup. They are soft and taste awesome.
